This new electric microinjector allows for the precise injection of small liquid volumes.  It is ideal for DNA/RNA injection, gene transfer, and other injection applications. The intuitive touch panel makes it easy to adjust the injection pressure, duration, and balance.  Injections can be performed using either the control panel button or a foot switch.

Improved Balance pressure control

The IM-401’s balance pressure can be adjusted in 0.1kPa increments from 1 to 100kPa. This improved feature enables stable pressure control with micropipettes, including those with relatively thick tip diameters.

High precision pressure control

The injection volume is now more stable due to reduced pressure fluctuations during the return to Balance pressure after injection.

Added System Switch

A new system switch has been added to the back of the touch panel display control unit for easy adjustment. Simply press the button to start (ON) or stop (SUSPEND) the system.

Comfortable operation with footswitch

The IM401 features a dedicated foot switch for administering injections.  This allows users to operate manipulators and inject hands-free.

Compatible with various pipettes

Optional attachments are sold separately and allow users to replace the cap on the included injection holder with different types of pipettes.  These include third party screw-in style, the HIC-1.2 for 1.2mm o.d. pipettes and the HIC-1.5 for 1.5mm o.d. pipettes.

External pressure source

• The IM-401 requires an external pressure source to operate.
• External pressure sources（gas tanks equipped with a regulator or the compressor）are sold separately.
• The tube fitting for the gas input hose is “KQ2H06-02AS” by SMC. When connecting a regulator or compressor, ensure that the connections are made appropriately according to this fitting.
