Description
DESCRIPTION
The Wasp electrode was specifically developed for use in electrical stimulation applications where a sharp painful stimulus needs to be delivered transcutaneously. The electrode has an outer ring of 6.5mm diameter, which surrounds an inner ring of 2mm diameter, that incorporates a 0.5mm high (±0.25mm) Platinum pin.
Each connection wire on the back of the electrode is Potted in Epoxy Resin which provides additional strain relief (giving more durable service) and ensures no contamination to the back of the electrode which may be possible when affixing the electrode to the subject with tape. The overall thickness of the Wasp Electrode once potted is approximately 3mm, but due to the manual construction, there could be some slight variation.
Cable and Termination Options
- 4mm Touch Proof Plugs (G.WASP-CBL-4TP)
- female 1.5mm DIN 42802 connectors (G.WASP-CBL-15)
- Bare wire end cut flush (G.WASP-CBL)
MRI Use
Please note, these electrodes will not be supplied with connection wires for use in an MRI environment due to specific safety considerations based on that environment. In this case, only the standard electrodes can be supplied for connection wires to be arranged locally.
