Amplification
Modes
At
the heart of the NeuroLog system range are the many possible
amplification modules, which can be used to make
intracellular or extracellular microelectrode recordings;
multi-channel EMG, EEG or ECG recordings or recordings from
strain gauges or pressure transducers. |

Triggering
& Pulse Generation
Here
are just some ways that NeuroLog modules can be utilized to
produce complex pulse protocols with full control over the
timing characteristics. These pulses can be used to
trigger other equipment, including electrical stimulators.
Other pulse generation protocols featuring stimulation are
given in the Electrical Stimulation Section. |

Signal
Conditioning Filtering & Processing
Single
& multi-channel filters and signal conditioning units
can be used to remove unwanted components/frequencies from
biological signals prior to acquisition. In addition,
some of the NeuroLog modules can be used to carry out simple
processing tasks. |

Electrical
Stimulation
The
NeuroLog System includes a battery powered constant current
stimulus isolator (NL800) which can be controlled by various
modules within the range. In addition, the output
pulses produced by the NeuroLog System can be used to
trigger most laboratory stimulators. |
