Digitimer
has a reputation for providing high quality electrical
stimulators for both clinical and biomedical research areas.
We now manufacture a range of constant current and constant
voltage stimulators to suit the various requirements of our
customers.
DS2A
Isolated Constant Voltage Stimulator (Stimulus Isolator)
|
|

|
The
DS2A Mk.II provides a precise Constant Voltage
stimulus (up to 100V) controllable in Pulse Duration and Amplitude from
self-contained batteries, making it ideally suited to
electrophysiological recording in small preparations or
cells where low noise is required. The DS2A can be
triggered by an external device such as our new DG2A
Train/Delay Generator. This stimulator
is NOT approved for use on human subjects. The
DS2A can be fitted into a 19" rack mounting frame
(D121-11) which can hold up to two DS2A's, DS3's DS4's or
DG2A's.

DS3
Isolated Constant Current Stimulator (Stimulus Isolator)
|
|

|
The
DS3 provides a precise Constant Current stimulus (up to
32mA) controllable in Pulse Duration and Amplitude and as with
the DS2A this output comes from self-contained batteries.
The DS3 also features a "clamp" or discharge
circuit which discharges the output between stimuli,
preventing a charge build up on the preparation. In
other constant current devices this charge build up can
lead to a loss of stimulus. The DS3 can be triggered
by an external device such as our new DG2A
Train/Delay Generator. This
stimulator is NOT approved for use on human subjects.

NEW
DS4
Bi-phasic Stimulus Isolator
|
|

|
The
DS4 takes an analogue voltage waveform defined within your own data
acquisition/ control system and converts it into an
isolated constant current stimulus. The DS4 will
accept several input voltage ranges and produces four
output ranges (±10µA, ±100µA, ±1mA and ±10mA).
It also features a GATE input, so that several DS4 units
can be controlled by a single analogue waveform, but enabled
individually via this GATE input. A timed
"inactivity sensor" reduces battery usage and
damaging "leak currents" during infrequent
stimulation, while at the same time
maintaining low levels of zero crossing distortion for
repetitive waveforms. This
stimulator is NOT approved for use on human subjects.

DS5 Isolated Bipolar Constant Current Stimulator (Clinical
Product)
|
|
This isolated
bipolar stimulator will allow computer control of stimulus
amplitude and timing parameters and will have a maximum
constant current output of ±50mA. It has been designed
to speed up and enhance peripheral nerve diagnostics by
facilitating semi-automated nerve excitability tests, but
will also have roles in clinical neurophysiology
research. The DS5 is MDD compliant for clinical use
within the European Community. For more detailed information on
this device, please refer to the Clinical
Products Section.

DS7A
& DS7AH HV Constant Current Stimulator (Clinical
Product)
|
 |
The
Digitimer High Voltage Stimulator model DS7A (up to 100mA)
and DS7AH (up to 1A) provide constant current, high voltage pulses of brief
duration for percutaneous stimulation during investigation
of the electrical activity of human nerve
and muscle tissue. These stimulators are MDD compliant
for clinical use within the European Community and FDA
cleared for similar use in the USA. For more detailed information on
this device, please refer to the Clinical
Products Section.
|
D185 MultiPulse Stimulator (Clinical Product)
|
|
The
D185 is a high power constant voltage stimulator
specifically designed for generation of motor evoked
potentials in a surgical environment. Transcranial
electrical motor evoked potentials (TceMEPs) offer a new
and more reliable method of monitoring spinal cord health
during risky surgical procedures. The D185 Cortical
Stimulator is MDD approved and is also the only standalone
stimulator cleared by the FDA for
this application. For more detailed information on
this device, please refer to the Clinical
Products Section.

D330
MultiStim System
|
 |
The
D330 MultiStim System is a modular and highly versatile
multi-channel isolated tissue stimulator designed to be used by biomedical
scientists who wish to accurately stimulate a number of
low impedance tissue preparations with different voltages or currents. Ideally suited to
multi-channel organ bath /tissue bath pharmacology or stimulated release
experiments and where integral timing controls are required.
This is NOT approved for use on human subjects. More

NL800A (part of the NeuroLog System)
|
 |
Using
the NL800A constant current stimulus isolator, the NeuroLog
system can become a versatile stimulation device. Note that the NL800A is NOT a standalone
device, as pulse or burst duration as well as amplitude MUST be
controlled either by the NeuroLog System itself or an external device
able to output the appropriate driving voltage.
Further information can be found within our NeuroLog
System Section. This stimulator is NOT approved for use on human subjects.
