The
modular D330 MultiStim provides a highly versatile means of
stimulating multiple in vitro biological preparations in
organ bath or gut baths with
either constant current or constant voltage within a 19"
rack/bench mountable unit (D337). Stimulation timing can be
controlled internally, gated by external devices or
completely controlled by external logic from sources such
as computer interfaces.
While the D330 MultiStim is
the classic gut bath stimulator (organ bath stimulator), it is capable of being
used to stimulate many other tissue preparations and has
even been employed as a cell culture stimulator..

Optional
Features Include
-
Timing
parameters of each stimulation channel can be completely &
independently controlled through the use of external logic
control.
-
External
devices can be used as a trigger or gating signal to all
channels within the stimulator.
-
Internal
pulse and train generation can be provided by selection of
appropriate modules.
-
BiStim
module allows normal, reverse or alternating output polarity.
-
High
power output of up to 100V from constant voltage or 0-500mA
from constant current sources.
-
Meter
module allows monitoring of individual channel outputs.
-
Additional
delayed pulse enables studies of effective refractory period
to be carried out using the MultiStim.

Module
Selection Flowchart. If you are not sure which
modules you need to install into the D337 Case & Power Supply
Unit for your application, then this flow chart is a good
starting point for configuring your tissue bath stimulator.

Operation Modes (PDF). Used alongside the flow
chart, this document illustrates typical operation modes,
providing additional guidance during the process of module
selection.
